Client in Carrollton, TX needs a CLD Driver for their facility.

 

 

Job Summary
The basic purpose of this job position is to perform a variety of routine and complex transportation work in truck loading and unloading of materials and in driving to provide regular deliveries, with minimum supervision. On occasion, this position may also provide accurate and efficient movement of materials in the warehouse.

· Primarily, this position will obtain packaging equipment and materials from PNC and deliver to customers.
· Performs routine inspection on assigned vehicles and refers defects or repairs to supervisor.
· Maintains clean truck, cab, and freight areas.
· Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
· Complete all required continuous learning training, including safety, compliance, and job specific.
· Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:
· Must be able to operate both manual and automatic transmission trucks.
· Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving and proven skills for safely operating various trucks.
· Solid performance record of truck driving.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, employees, supervisors, and the public.
· Ability to work independently, to communicate effectively, to follow specific written and oral instructions, quick learner, flexible, detail oriented.
· Ability to make independent judgments, which have moderate impacts on the organization.
· Must be detailed oriented.

 

Education/Experience:
· Graduation from High school or GED equivalent.
· Must maintain a CDL License with a clean MVR over the last 7 years.
* May also call for certification as a forklift driver.
· A minimum of three (3) years of applicable logistics and warehousing experience required, with some familiarity with similar packaging products preferred.
· Experience with using PC and applications, warehouse management systems, wireless forklift computer systems, and scanners helpful.
