Lifting & Rigging Technician

Located in Pueblo, CO

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain rigging gear such as slings, chains, hooks, and shackles
• Set up and secure loads for lifting using cranes, hoists, or forklifts
• Operate or assist with lifting equipment (e.g., overhead cranes, gantry cranes)
• Calculate load weights and determine proper rigging methods
• Follow safety standards aligned with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
• Communicate with crane operators using hand signals or radios
• Ensure loads are balanced and stable before lifting and transport
• Assist with inventory movement and warehouse organization
• Report damaged equipment or unsafe conditions immediately

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of rigging techniques and load calculations
• Familiarity with crane operations and lifting devices
• Understanding of workplace safety regulations (OSHA standards)
• Ability to read load charts and rigging plans
• Strong spatial awareness and attention to detail
• Physical ability to lift, climb, and work in industrial conditions
• Good communication and teamwork skills
