We are working with a construction materials company in Sarasota that is seeking an experienced Metal Roofing Sales Representative to join their team.

Schedule: Full-time
Compensation: Base pay ranging from $16–$27/hour, plus monthly bonuses and year-end bonus opportunities

Position Summary:

This is an in-house sales position focused on supporting customers, generating new business, and managing accounts within the metal roofing industry. The ideal candidate will be able to design, quote, follow up, and close sales while maintaining strong relationships with contractors and builders.

Compensation is based on experience, with the lower end of the range intended for candidates newer to roofing or sales who are willing to learn, and the higher end for candidates with several years of experience in roofing, design, and quoting. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with roofing contractors, builders, and general contractors
  • Generate new business through prospecting, networking, and referrals
  • Provide product knowledge and guidance on metal roofing materials and systems
  • Prepare and present quotes, bids, and proposals
  • Follow up on leads and maintain an active sales pipeline
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate order processing and timely delivery
  • Stay informed on market trends, pricing, and competitor activity
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of sales experience in roofing, construction materials, or a related field (metal roofing experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of roofing systems, materials, and measurements
  • Experience with designing, quoting, and estimating projects preferred
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Proficient with CRM systems and basic computer skills
  • Valid driver’s license if needed for occasional site visits

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Existing relationships within the local roofing or construction industry
  • Experience in B2B sales
  • Knowledge of takeoffs, measurements, and estimating

Compensation Notes:

  • Monthly bonuses typically range from approximately $400 to over $1,200 depending on performance and incentives
  • Year-end bonus opportunities available
