Job Title: New Accounts / Banking Specialist
Location: East Texas
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced banking professional to support new account openings and certificate of deposit (CD) services. This role will work directly with customers to establish accounts, explain banking products, and ensure a smooth, accurate onboarding experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Open and maintain new consumer and business accounts (checking, savings, CDs)
• Assist customers with selecting appropriate banking products based on their needs
• Process and manage Certificate of Deposit (CD) accounts, including renewals and changes
• Ensure all account documentation is accurate and compliant with banking regulations
• Verify customer identity and maintain adherence to compliance standards
• Cross-sell banking products and services when appropriate
• Resolve customer inquiries related to accounts, deposits, and general banking services
• Maintain accurate records and support branch operations as needed

Qualifications:

• 3–5+ years of banking experience, preferably in new accounts or retail banking
• Strong knowledge of deposit accounts, CDs, and banking operations
• Familiarity with compliance regulations
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to build trust and relationships with customers

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working in a community or regional bank
• Background in cross-selling financial products
• Proficiency with banking software systems
