Express Employment Professionals has a Jamestown client in need of a Shipping and Receiving/ Machine Operator. The Shipping & Receiving Associate / Machine Operator is responsible for the accurate handling, movement, and documentation of incoming and outgoing materials, while also operating production and material-handling machinery. This role supports efficient warehouse operations, production schedules, and inventory accuracy while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
- Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments according to customer and carrier requirements
- Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records in inventory or ERP systems
- Coordinate with carriers, production teams, and supervisors to ensure on-time deliveries
- Store materials in designated locations while following FIFO and inventory procedures
Machine Operation
- Set up, operate, and monitor production or warehouse machinery according to standard operating procedures
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
- Make basic machine adjustments and report equipment issues or malfunctions
- Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
- Follow all safety guidelines, lockout/tagout procedures, and operational standards
General Duties
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories as needed
- Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
The hours are Monday – Friday 5:50AM to 2:18PM. Pay is $17.00 an hour.
