Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a respected, locally owned steel manufacturer on the southside of Indianapolis to hire an Industrial Maintenance Technician. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands on work that focuses on preventative and reactive maintenance within an industrial setting.

 

Job Summary: The Industrial Maintenance Technician will bring hands on experience in 480V Electrical systems, mechanical repair, and hydraulic equipment. This role will bring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production machinery and facility systems.

 

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair industrial equipment (cranes, conveyors, saws, automation, and welding equipment)
• Perform 480V electrical troubleshooting (motors, VFDs, panels, sensors)
• Complete mechanical and hydraulic maintenance
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime
• Read schematics and follow safety and documentation standards

 

Required Qualifications

• Completion of Industrial Maintenance or related technical courses or certifications.
• Proven proficiency working with 480V electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including gears, bearings, shafts, and drive systems.
• Solid knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulic systems and fluid power fundamentals
• Ability to use multimeters, torque tools, hydraulic test equipment, and mechanical hand tools.
• Experience with troubleshooting methods and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, heavy industry, or automated production environments.
• Familiarity with PLCs, sensors, and basic controls troubleshooting.
• Welding or fabrication skills.
• Knowledge of pneumatic systems.
• Willing to discuss “On Call” rotation

 

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm

OT: M-TH Until 4:30, Sat: 6:00am-12:30pm (typically voluntary)

• $30-$35
