Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for our Jamestown, NY client. Our client is looking for a Maintenance Technican.
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team on 1st shift. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with tool and die experience highly preferred. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance on production equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Support setup, maintenance, and repair of tools and dies as needed
- Diagnose equipment issues and implement effective solutions
- Perform inspections and document maintenance activities
- Work with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred
- Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment required
- Tool and die experience or familiarity strongly preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Welding, machining, or fabrication experience is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
