Job Description:
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Cook to join our college dining team in Delaware, Ohio. This role supports a fast-paced campus kitchen, preparing high-quality meals for students and staff. Ideal candidates know how to cook with or without a recipe, are team-oriented, flexible, and committed to food safety and presentation.

Schedule Options:

• First Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Schedules may be Monday–Friday or include days off during the week to accommodate weekend shifts
• Weekend coverage is required
• Additional evening shift availability (3:00 PM – 9:00 PM) is preferred for weekend support

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients by following recipes, including slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing
• Cook and prepare hot meals by grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, and broiling
• Assemble and properly store cold food items
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures
• Maintain proper labeling, dating, and rotation of food items
• Store leftovers according to established standards
• Collaborate with the team on daily, holiday, and themed menus

Qualifications:

• Two or more years of cooking experience, including food preparation
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods
• Understanding of sanitation and food safety standards
• Excellent food presentation skills
• Familiarity with general kitchen operations and equipment
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented, high-volume environment
