Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Temporary Restoration Technician to join our client's team on a temporary basis to cover as-needed projects. This role is from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. (could be earlier end time or slightly later) and pays $20/hour.

Duties

• Perform cleaning and debris removal using various hand tools and power tools to prepare damaged areas for restoration.
• Assist with water damage mitigation, including water extraction, drying, and moisture monitoring.
• Support fire damage cleanup efforts by removing soot, smoke residues, and damaged materials.
• Conduct mold remediation procedures following safety protocols to eliminate mold growth.
• Aid in construction-related tasks such as minor repairs, demolition, and installation of new materials.
• Utilize carpet cleaning equipment and techniques to restore flooring affected by water or fire damage.
• Follow safety guidelines during asbestos abatement procedures when required.
• Assist with asbestos abatement projects by handling materials safely under supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness of work sites and ensure all tools and equipment are properly used and stored.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of restoration projects while adhering to industry standards.

Experience

• Prior experience in the restoration industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with cleaning techniques, fire restoration, water damage mitigation, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement is advantageous.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, construction tasks, or carpet cleaning is beneficial.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to asbestos handling and hazardous materials is a plus.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various environmental conditions.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to learn industry-specific procedures and certifications as needed.
