Housing Specialist (A2202)

GENERAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide client-centered, individualized support, advocacy, and case management to assist individuals and families in securing stable housing. Coordinate and assist with applications, services, and resources necessary for moving into independent housing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

60% – Provide individualized support to help clients secure safe and affordable housing. Build relationships with landlords and maintain knowledge of housing applications, processes, and available community resources. Assist clients in overcoming barriers to achieve housing stability and self-sufficiency.

20% – Participate in meetings and events related to the organization, program development, case reviews, and community partnerships. Complete and maintain required training for housing program compliance and stay updated on best practices and regulatory requirements.

15% – Track and maintain statistical data and case notes in organizational databases. Share data as required for reporting to funders or other oversight organizations.

5% – Perform other duties as assigned related to housing support services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Associate’s Degree in a related field preferred. Knowledge of program operations a plus.

Other: Fluency in languages other than English and cultural knowledge are a plus. Must provide own transportation and/or have a valid driver’s license as required for job duties.
