Position Summary

The Quality Control / Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of product quality and compliance within the manufacturing operation. This role ensures that products meet established standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the production process. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of quality systems, and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control and quality assurance processes across manufacturing operations
  • Monitor production processes to ensure products meet internal quality standards and customer specifications
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives related to quality issues or defects
  • Manage inspection processes including incoming materials, in-process checks, and finished product evaluation
  • Analyze quality data and generate reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality concerns and improve processes
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards
  • Train and mentor quality staff and production employees on quality procedures and best practices
  • Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits when required
  • Maintain documentation related to quality processes, testing procedures, and inspection results
  • Work with suppliers to address quality issues and ensure incoming materials meet standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred
  • 3–7+ years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, inspection processes, and continuous improvement practices
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methods
  • Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO or similar quality management systems is a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Experience leading or mentoring quality teams preferred
