Operations Administrator

Shift: 1st, Monday–Friday, 6am-4pm
Pay: $21.35/hr
SUMMARY
The Operations Administrator provides administrative support for daily plant operations, including employee scheduling, timekeeping, attendance tracking, and reporting. This role supports supervisors and managers in maintaining accurate staffing levels, compliance with labor standards, and efficient workflow planning.

Responsibilities include auditing time records, resolving payroll and scheduling discrepancies, tracking attendance and leave, and generating operational performance reports (attendance, breaks/lunch compliance, and KPI tracking). The role also supports communication between departments and assists with maintaining organized records and documentation.

In manufacturing support functions, this position may assist with scheduling coordination, tracking leave requests, and serving as a backup for scheduling responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations & Technical Support

  • Assist with staffing schedules and daily workforce planning
  • Audit timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies
  • Track attendance, absences, missed punches, and compliance issues
  • Generate and maintain operational and KPI reports
  • Support payroll accuracy and scheduling systems
  • Maintain organized and accurate records and documentation

Communication & Coordination

  • Communicate attendance and compliance trends to supervisors and managers
  • Coordinate with HR/People Operations on attendance, LOA, and policy issues
  • Support employees with time-off request processes
  • Provide data and documentation for performance evaluations
  • Communicate daily staffing and attendance updates when required

Planning & Organization

  • Manage time-off requests in scheduling systems
  • Distribute payroll information as needed
  • Assist with ordering and tracking office/operational supplies
  • Ensure timely follow-up on requests and issues

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of administrative experience required
  • Experience in manufacturing or production environment preferred

Skills

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (sorting, formulas, pivot tables preferred)
  • Proficiency in Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to interpret reports and identify trends
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily office-based within a manufacturing facility, with occasional exposure to production areas including noise, temperature changes, wet conditions, and moving equipment.
