Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Insulator to join our construction team, bringing expertise in insulating various structures to enhance energy efficiency, safety, and durability. As an Insulator, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining insulation materials across a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial sites. Your role is vital in ensuring that buildings meet the highest standards of thermal regulation and soundproofing while adhering to safety protocols and project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your craftsmanship and technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, assemble, and install insulation materials using hand tools and power tools with precision and efficiency.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine insulation requirements and placement.
• Apply insulation to walls, ceilings, floors, roofs, HVAC systems, metal studs, masonry structures, and other building components.
• Perform surface preparation tasks such as caulking, trimming, plastering, or finishing to ensure proper insulation fitment.
• Use fabrication skills to customize insulation components for complex or unique project needs.
• Conduct inspections during installation to ensure adherence to safety standards and quality specifications.
• Collaborate with carpenters, masons, roofers, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate work seamlessly on-site.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes related to insulation projects.
• Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., knives, scissors) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws) used in insulation installation.
• Extensive construction site experience with a focus on insulation or related trades such as drywall or roofing.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with plastering techniques, stucco application, metal stud framing, concrete finishing, masonry work, and construction painting.
• Mechanical knowledge relevant to HVAC systems and airless paint spraying equipment.
• Experience with fabrication of insulation components for custom applications.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction painting, caulking procedures, trim carpentry, roofing techniques, and working at heights.
