Die Setter (Entry-Level) – 3rd Shift | $18.70/hr

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 9:00PM - 7:00AM, Four 10-hour shifts (long weekends!)

Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for a Die Setter for a respected metal stamping manufacturer in the Holland area.  This is an entry-level position at a family owned manufacturing company with long-term stability. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who are looking to grow their career and eventually move into an apprentice and journeyman toolmaker position down the road. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Properly identify tooling (nomenclature)
  • Communicate production issues such as tooling problems to work team leaders or other personnel
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment such as; various press functions including the coolant, oil system, greasing/oil press & un-coiler, scrap removal, raw material handling, and clean up
  • Clean and prepare presses for job setup
  • Manage oil inventories and storage as well as maintain oil recycling system
  • Operate forklift and overhead hoist (will provide training) 

Work Environment

  • Traditional metal stamping and manufacturing facility

  • Loud production environment when press machines are operating

Required Skills/Experience 

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs throughout a shift

  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Previous experience working in a metal shop environment
  • Positive attitude, flexibility to move around the shop as needed, and committed to great attendance
  • Machine Operation experience highly preferred
