Facilities Custodian

Located in Tonawanda, NY

Salary: $18.00/hr

We are currently seeking qualified applicants for a Facility Custodian position for a pool supply company located in Tonawanda, NY. This is an excellent temp-to-hire opportunity! 

 

Schedule: MUST be available to work all 7 days (including weekends) 

Shifts Vary: 7am-3:30pm, 8am-4:30pm, or 9am-5:30pm

 

 

Payrate: $18.00/hr 

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for cleaning interior of office building, as assigned.
  - This includes offices, meeting rooms, stairways, bathrooms, cafeteria, break areas, and reception area.
  - Activities include mopping, vacuuming, and dusting as well as bathroom and kitchen cleaning and garbage collection.
• Responsible for cleaning interior of warehouse buildings, as assigned.
  - This includes offices, workstations, bathrooms, and warehouse space.
  - Activities include wet and dry cleaning of floors, bathroom cleaning, and garbage collection.
  - Collect and bail cardboard.
• Clean up during office or warehouse renovation projects.
• Responsible for policing the building exterior including picking up trash and litter.
  - Grounds, parking lots, and smoking areas.
  - Garbage and recycling
  - Offices
• Ensure there is always an adequate inventory of cafeteria supplies on hand.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures.

Requirements:

• At least 6 months’ experience doing janitorial or cleaning work.
• Excellent time management. 
• Comfortable multitasking.
• Positive, "can-do" attitude.

Physical Requirements:

• This position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time including walking up and down stairs. The ability to bend, lift, reach, and walk with up to 50 lbs. is necessary as is working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.

Dress Code:

• Must wear close-toed shoes or work boots (no sandals or crocs).
• Casual but appropriate warehouse attire.
• No strong fragrances.
