Hours: 10–20 hours/week during peak event months (varies based on event schedule)

About the Role
We have a client in the Community and Business association who is seeking an experienced Event Coordinator to lead the planning and execution of a range of business and community events, including networking sessions, workshops, and initiatives that connect local businesses and residents. This is not a junior or entry-level role—we’re looking for someone with a proven track record in event planning, who can handle multiple responsibilities independently, and who thrives in fast-paced, high-profile environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, organization, and coordination of events (both in-person and virtual) 
• Develop detailed event agendas and run-of-show documents
• Manage event registration platforms, including Eventbrite and Zeffy
• Oversee logistics: setup, registration, vendor coordination, and tear-down
• Communicate professionally with attendees, sending reminders before events and follow-ups afterward
• Liaise with venues, vendors, members, partners, and volunteers to ensure flawless execution
• Track attendance, gather feedback, and support comprehensive pre- and post-event reporting
• Provide expert on-site support during events, including troubleshooting and guest assistance
• Drive promotional efforts via social media, email campaigns, and community outreach
• Maintain and organize event materials, supplies, and digital files

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of professional event planning or coordination experience (required)
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently and within a team
• Comfortable taking ownership of tasks and problem-solving in dynamic environments
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and be on your feet during events 
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
