Schedule

Minimum Qualifications

Experience

• 2+ years of TIG welding experience required
• Fabrication and/or finishing experience preferred
• Forklift experience a plus

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to perform high‑quality TIG welding, grinding, and finishing, including:
  • Fillet welding with uniform width and depth
  • Grinding and striping no wider than 3/8", with all burn marks fully blended and no visible marks
  • Fuse welding a 90‑degree joint with:
    • Flat weld surface
    • Even width
    • Sharp exterior edge
    • No rollover
• Working knowledge of shop tools, including:
  • Drill motors, cutoff saws, grinders
  • Drill press, tapping tools
  • Belt sanders and various hand tools
• Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure
• Ability to read and understand English to interpret prints, diagrams, and drawings
• Strong math skills
• Team‑oriented with good interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited two‑year welding program
• Experience with sheet metal manufacturing
• Experience working in a production environment

Job Function

• Reports to the Team or Section Leader
• Direction provided toward defined objectives using a wide range of procedures
• Frequent interaction with team members and other departments

Key Responsibilities

• TIG fillet weld and finish stainless steel equipment and components with uniform width and depth
• Maintain and meet all quality standards
• Review and analyze:
  • Plans
  • Drawings
  • Work samples
  • Specifications
  • Work orders
• Follow all safety and housekeeping rules
• Cross‑train into other areas and job functions as needed
• Willingness to assist in other departments when required

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:

• Bend, stoop, reach, kneel, and stand on a concrete floor for prolonged periods
• Occasionally climb and work from ladders
• Frequently lift up to 50 lbs
• Carry up to 30 lbs
