Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Woodworker to join our team. This role provides hands-on training in woodworking techniques, furniture building, and cabinet making. Ideal candidates will have a passion for craftsmanship, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled woodworkers in the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of wood products
  • Measure, cut, sand, and shape wood materials according to project specifications
  • Learn to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical plans
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic woodworking machinery safely
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for materials and tools
  • Participate in team projects, learning trade skills under supervision
  • Help with material selection, inventory, and preparation for projects

Qualifications

  • No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided
  • Basic understanding of woodworking or carpentry is a plus
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with hand and power tools
  • Familiarity with woodworking techniques, finishes, or joinery
  • Basic math and measuring skills

Work Environment

  • Workshop or manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to dust, noise, and woodworking machinery
  • Physically active role requiring standing, bending, and lifting
