CNC-Punch Press Operator

Salary: $25.00

This role is a skilled role responsible for loading, operating and maintaining an AMADA punch press. The schedule is 3:30pm-12am, M-F.  

Main Job Duties:

·         Perform operation of CNC punch press to produce components from mid gauge steel, stainless steel, and aluminum

·         Execute daily production schedule, ensuring constant communication of any issues that arise

·         Transport raw material, manually unload finished parts and operate forklift as necessary

·         Perform preventative maintenance on as required

·         Perform secondary operations as required (flattening, deburring, surfacing, bending, inspecting)

·         Understand and adhere to company quality policy

·         Inform supervisor of any part or equipment defects to ensure prompt resolution

·         Cooperate with other employees in the department to maintain a safe working environment

·         Confirm operations in ERP system and issue material to production orders

·         Communicate effectively with department personnel to facilitate production orders

·         Follow instructions as provided by supervisor

·         Complete assigned work within given timeframe and according to specifications

·         Cooperate with other employees in the department and maintain a safe working environment

·         Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area

·         Adhere to all company safety regulations

·         Other duties as assigned

 

Education:   

High School diploma or equivalent is required

Experience:  

·         A minimum of 3 years of CNC punch press experience is required

·         A minimum of 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

·         Experience with Amada punch presses is preferred

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

·         Ability to set up jobs according to engineering specifications is required

·         Ability to adjust programs as needed to assure production of quality parts is required

·         Ability to read and interpret blueprints or mechanical drawings is required

·         Experience using precision measuring tools is required

·         Ability to safely operate a forklift is required

·         Ability to work overtime when required

·         Ability to arrive promptly for shift and stand and/or walk for duration of shift is required

·         Ability to hear, speak, kneel, bend and use a step ladder or stool is required

·         Ability to lift 40 pounds is required

·         Ability to work in a manufacturing environment is required
