Position Overview
The Furniture Loader & Assembly Associate is responsible for safely loading, unloading, assembling, and preparing furniture for delivery or showroom display. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to follow instructions and assembly diagrams accurately.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload furniture from trucks, trailers, or storage areas
• Assemble furniture using hand tools and power tools according to manufacturer instructions
• Inspect furniture for damage, missing parts, or defects before and after assembly
• Ensure all items are securely packaged and protected for transport
• Move, lift, and position furniture safely within warehouses, showrooms, or customer locations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
• Assist team members with heavy lifting and large assembly projects
• Communicate any issues, delays, or missing components to supervisors

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs consistently
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to read and follow assembly instructions or diagrams
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good teamwork and communication skills

 

Preferred Experience

• Previous warehouse, loading, delivery, or furniture assembly experience (not required but helpful)
• Experience using dollies, pallet jacks, or other moving equipment
