Job Title: Forklift Operator – Manufacturing (Wooden Crates & Pallets)

Shift Schedule

  • Off: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
  • Wednesday: 12:00 AM – 6:00 AM
  • Thursday – Saturday: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Job Summary

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting raw materials, finished wooden crates, and pallets throughout the manufacturing and warehouse areas. This role supports production operations by ensuring materials are properly staged, stored, and delivered in a timely manner while maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and in compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations
  • Load, unload, move, stack, and stage wooden pallets and crates
  • Supply production lines with raw materials and remove finished goods as needed
  • Perform routine forklift inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
  • Maintain accurate inventory placement and assist with inventory counts
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
  • Follow all safety procedures related to heavy equipment, wood materials, and production environments
  • Work closely with production, shipping, and warehouse teams to meet operational goals
  • Perform additional warehouse or production support tasks as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification)
  • Prior forklift experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
  • Experience handling wood products is a plus
  • Ability to work overnight shifts and extended hours
  • Strong attention to safety and detail
  • Basic math and communication skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with dust, noise, and temperature variations
  • Ability to operate equipment for long periods during overnight shifts

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing facility producing wooden crates and pallets
  • Exposure to moving machinery, forklifts, and wood materials
  • Safety equipment required (PPE provided)
