Pre‑Delivery Test Technician (PDI Technician)

Location: Denton, TX
Pay: $22–$26/hr  | Full‑Time
Schedule: M-F 7a-4p

Express Employment Professionals of Denton County is recruiting for a client seeking a Pre‑Delivery Test Technician to inspect, test, and prepare Peterbilt trucks prior to customer delivery. This opportunity may be offered as a temp‑to‑hire or direct‑hire position, depending on experience and fit.
The role involves mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical work with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre‑delivery inspections (PDI) on trucks
• Inspect and troubleshoot air/pneumatic systems (air brakes, valves, airlines)
• Read and follow electrical and pneumatic schematics
• Install and troubleshoot 12V/24V wiring and light panels
• Functionally test systems and correct issues before delivery
• Document inspection results and repairs

Requirements

• Experience with pneumatics and air systems
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams
• Hands‑on electrical wiring and troubleshooting experience
• Strong attention to detail and quality mindset

Nice to Have

• MIG welding experience
• Commercial truck, trailer, or heavy‑equipment experience
• Exposure to hydraulics
