Express Employment is partnering with a local, well-established Shasta County HVAC company.

About the Position:

We are seeking experienced sheet metal/fabrication candidates.

Job Description/ Responsibilities:

Fabricate HVAC ductwork, fittings, and components from sheet metal using hand and power tools
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal to required dimensions
Install duct systems, plenums, registers, dampers, and exhaust systems
Assemble and secure sheet metal components using fasteners, welds, or sealants
Install and connect ductwork to HVAC equipment (air handlers, furnaces, rooftop units)
Ensure proper airflow, alignment, and system performance
Insulate ductwork and seal joints to prevent air leaks
Assist with system start‑up, testing, and balancing as needed
Inspect existing duct systems to identify damage, leaks, or inefficiencies
Repair or replace damaged sheet metal components
Perform modifications to existing duct systems based on updated requirements
Respond to service calls and troubleshoot airflow or noise issues

Qualifications:

Knowledge of HVAC systems and airflow principles
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Physical ability to lift materials and work in confined spaces
Experience with sheet metal fabrication tools
