A manufacturing company in Boardman is looking for an experienced Pipe Welder to join their team!

 

Summary: Ability to layout and weld pipe together by a combination of, or by single process, using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, or GTAW to specified weld procedures.

 

Responsibilities:

• Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project
• Measuring and cutting materials to specifications
• Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions
• Examines weld for bead size and other specifications 
• Cleans weld joint or workpiece
• Operation of overhead cranes
• Rigging of workpiece
• Cut pipe to length using oxy-fuel torch or saw
• Operate machine beveler
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• One year certificate from college or tech school OR related experience and training
• 6G Certification from prior employment
• 2-5 years working in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read blueprints and use simple math skills
• Ability to read and interpret a tape measure
• Must be able to work as a team
• Knowledge of (GMAW) STT Process (Surface Tension Transfer)
• Knowledge of SMAW 6010 downhill welding

Pay Rate: $20-$28 based on experience and weld test

 

Shift: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm
