Express Employment Professionals is recruiting an Assistant Director of Accounting, where you’ll play a key role in overseeing cash management, accounts payable, investment reconciliation, fixed assets, and government financial reporting. What You’ll Do
- Manage daily cash operations, forecasting, and bank relationships
- Oversee accounts payable and strengthen internal controls
- Reconcile investment accounts and coordinate with advisors
- Lead fixed asset accounting, inventories, and compliance
- Support internal and external audits with documentation and analysis
- Prepare federal, state, and local financial reports
- Implement internal controls and drive process improvements
- Provide guidance to AP staff and collaborate across departments
What You Bring
- BA/BS in Accounting preferred; CPA a plus
- 1–3 years of experience (3–5 preferred)
- Strong Excel and Office skills; PeopleSoft experience a bonus
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem‑solving ability
- Ability to lead, prioritize, and work independently
- Commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and continuous improvement
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $59,306.72 – $67,394.00
- New hires typically start in the low to mid‑range depending on experience
