Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is hiring an experienced CDL Driver for a full-time, 1st shift position focused on local deliveries. This role requires touch freight, meaning drivers will be responsible for loading and unloading materials at both the warehouse and delivery locations.

We are seeking a dependable driver with 3–5 years of experience, a Hazmat endorsement, and a strong commitment to safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

As a CDL Driver, your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating a Class A commercial vehicle for local delivery routes.
  • Performing loading and unloading of materials (touch freight).
  • Safely transporting and securing loads to prevent damage.
  • Operating a forklift to assist with material handling (if certified).
  • Completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
  • Verifying delivery accuracy and maintaining proper documentation.
  • Communicating with dispatch and warehouse teams regarding deliveries.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized vehicle.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL Class A License required.
  • Hazmat endorsement required.
  • 3–5 years of CDL driving experience preferred.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently (touch freight).
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Safety-focused mindset.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Local delivery and route management experience.
  • Material handling and load securement knowledge.
  • Forklift operation (preferred).
  • Strong time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Shifts & Hours

  • 1st Shift: Daytime schedule
  • Monday – Friday
  • Full-Time
  • Overtime may be available based on delivery needs

Pay & Benefits

  • $18.00 – $22.00 per hour, based on experience and certifications.
  • Weekly pay through Express Employment Professionals.
