Express Employment is looking for a Cook and Cook Aids. These positions are temporary. 

Location: Oroville, Ca

Pay: Cook Aid $18.89, Cook $20.01/Hour

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours a week

Job Duties:

Cook Aid:
• Assist cooks with basic food prep (chopping, peeling, measuring ingredients).
• Prepare simple dishes and follow recipes as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and work areas.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools. 
• Stock and organize food supplies and ingredients. 
• Help receive and store deliveries. 
• Dispose of trash and keep kitchen areas sanitary.
• Support kitchen staff during busy periods.
• All other duties assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements:
• Kitchen or Food service experience preferred.
• Food Safety Knowledge.
• Standing for long periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with kitchen staff.

Cook:
• Train, schedule, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Create menus, plan specials, and set presentation standards.
• Maintain consistent food quality and enforce sanitation standards.
• Forecast needs, order supplies, manager inventory, and control food and labor cost.
• Prepare and cook food while leading the line during busy periods.
• All other duties assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of current kitchen experience. 
• Food Safety Certified
• Standing for long periods in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong leadership, creativity and ability to perform under pressure.
