Production Supervisor, Manufacturing/Heavy Industrial

Location: Alcoa, TN
Pay: $40–$43 per hour

Schedule:
Training will be completed on 12-hour day shifts.

Regular schedule is 12 hour rotating shifts, days or nights.

Hours are 5:30 AM to 5:30 PM on a 3 2 2 3 rotation.

Candidates must be comfortable working night shifts.

Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing floor operations. This role oversees production teams, ensures safety and quality standards, and supports continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production team members.
• Lead daily shift meetings to review goals, recognize achievements, and address concerns.
• Ensure safety, quality, cost, and production standards are met.
• Assign tasks, monitor workflow, and adjust as needed.
• Promote and enforce safety policies and procedures.
• Train and mentor employees on equipment operation, safety, and SOPs.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure product compliance.
• Communicate with maintenance and quality teams to minimize downtime.
• Leadership and Team Building
• Foster a culture of accountability, respect, and continuous improvement.
• Recognize individual and team accomplishments.
• Support training and skill development for team growth and flexibility.

Required Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least one year of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, safety regulations, and quality control.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with manufacturing systems and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aluminum manufacturing operations.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Progressive thinker with the ability to initiate change.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with noise, heat, and moving equipment.

Education and Eligibility

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
