Our Pickering client, a leading sign installation, removal, and maintenance company, is looking for a Sign Installer Helper to assist with a project!

Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead installer with the sign installation of billboards and wooden signs
• Load and unload equipment and materials into service trucks
• Dig holes using an auger, set posts, and fill with cement
• Pound metal T-bars into the ground and prepare sign structures
• Prime and paint wooden beams for installation
• Perform job site clean-up after each installation
• Work at heights on extension ladders (maximum 3–4 feet)
• Travel between multiple job sites daily (primarily Mississauga and Markham, occasionally Niagara Falls to Kingston)
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• 1-2 years of Construction, Carpentry, Sign Installation experience
• Experience using hand and power tools (drills, hammer, sledgehammer, skill saw, mitre saw)
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Must have own hammer, tape measure, and tool belt
• Must have steel toe/safety boots
• Comfortable lifting up 55lbs
• Excellent communication skills (verbal)

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience in woodworking, building decks, building fences, or similar construction projects (asset)
• Previous experience digging holes with an auger or working with cement
• Working at Heights (WAH) certificate
• Strong work ethic, reliable, dependable, punctual
• Positive attitude, team player, proactive
• Strict adherence to safety practices and procedures

Compensation and Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 4:00pm (hours vary depending on daily installations)
• Pay Rate: $23-24 per hour
