Our client in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking for a 2^nd Shift Wire Harness Assembler!

Position Summary: The Wire Assembler plays an important role in supporting a fast-paced manufacturing team by building high-quality wiring harnesses used in heavy equipment. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working with their hands while following blueprints and schematics. Candidates with prior manufacturing or assembly experience — especially those with a background at Whirlpool — are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble electrical wiring harnesses using blueprints and work instructions
• Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and production documents
• Perform quality checks to ensure proper wiring and connections
• Identify defects or issues and communicate with supervisors
• Use hand tools and assembly equipment safely and effectively
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all safety policies, quality standards, and production procedures
• Maintain consistent attendance and reliability

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous wire assembly or manufacturing experience required
• Whirlpool manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Valid driver’s license required

Hours:

• Monday – Friday
• 2^nd Shift
• 4pm – 2:30am

Pay:

• $18.00/hour
