Hospital Maintenance Technician II
First Shift M-F 7 am to 3:30 pm.
$24.00-30.00/ HR BOE
Location: South Clearwater
Required:
- 3-4 years of Hospital / Medical Mechanic maintenance experience
- Preventative Maintenance Experience with: Boilers, Chillers, Generators, and air handlers
- Must have at least 1-2 years of hospital facility experience
- Understanding of PPE / Infection Control
- Experience communicating with clinical staff (doctors and nurses)
- Experience working with Medical Gases (Med Gas)
- Great customer service skills and a professional mannerism
What you will handle:
Routine preventative maintenance
Any emergencies or STAT work orders that come in
Daily walk throughs of the facility documenting any issues found along with the corrective action to be taken.
Areas of experience needed are HVAC, chillers, boilers, air handlers & roof top units, pumps, light ground maintenance, emergency and exit light work and fire extinguisher inspections, etc.
What we are looking for: Your ability to troubleshoot the issues then determine the next steps needed (with our help if needed). You will need to follow our call down list of who to report to for maintenance issues as well as our TMS work order system. An understanding that things change continually, and the ability to accept the challenges that arise and move forward as quickly and accurately as possible.
The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and repair of buildings, equipment and systems throughout the assigned facilities. Must possess the ability to perform general mechanical repairs. The Maintenance Technician II performs demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to cover all trades including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatic tube, painting, carpentry and associated systems in accordance with departmental,
hospital and regulatory agency codes. Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment. This position may be scheduled to work various work shifts and weekends to meet the needs of the hospital not necessarily within the craft lines.
Certification & Licensure: Required Driver's License State of Florida
Required Forklift If applicable
Education: Required High School or Equivalent
