Field Service Technician
Location: Spartanburg, SC
Pay: $30–$36/hour
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to support installation, start-up, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to travel extensively while providing hands-on support and training to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct field service activities including start-ups, troubleshooting, repairs, and customer training (75%)
• Handle administrative tasks such as trip preparation, service reports, documentation, and expense reports (15%)
• Support facility maintenance and assist with production/manufacturing as needed
• Travel to customer sites to supervise and/or inspect equipment installations
• Perform equipment start-ups and make mechanical and electrical adjustments
• Train operators through classroom instruction and hands-on demonstrations
• Troubleshoot PLC systems and electrical control panels
• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs as necessary
• Provide customer support via phone when needed
• Prepare and maintain reports using Microsoft Excel, Word, and other software

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in wastewater, textile, or industrial machinery service
• High school diploma or associate’s degree required
• Prior experience in a customer-facing technical service role
• Strong knowledge of PLC troubleshooting (Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE)
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), AutoCAD, and SolidWorks
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Travel Requirements:

• Travel required (domestic and international)
• Ability to travel on short notice

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to work in varying conditions (heat, cold, industrial environments)
• Physically capable of performing job duties in the field
• Experience with municipal/industrial wastewater or textile equipment is a plus
