Position Overview

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead and support daily shop-floor operations, including repair, overhaul, and component manufacturing. This role is highly visible across the organization and requires a detail-oriented leader who can effectively communicate with cross-functional teams while maintaining safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

The Production Supervisor will play a critical role in leading production employees, overseeing training needs, managing workflow and part traceability, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in partnership with plant leadership and support departments. 

Compensation

$80,000 to $90,000 (based on experience) + Quarterly bonus.

Job Responsibilities

Production Leadership & Operations

• Lead and support the production team while promoting a positive and effective work environment
• Ensure safety is always the top priority
• Set daily, weekly, and monthly objectives aligned with plant targets
• Organize and prioritize all parts and components on the shop floor and provide expected ship dates
• Analyze production activities to determine throughput and capacity
• Maintain traceability of part numbers, serial numbers, and required documentation at all times
• Maintain good housekeeping standards throughout the facility
• Provide clear, timely, and responsive communication
• Support production with all required technical needs
• Perform other related duties as required, including overtime

Training & Team Development       

• Oversee employee training needs to meet operational demand
• Support hiring needs within the production team
• Ensure employees are properly trained to meet safety, quality, and delivery requirements

Continuous Improvement & Process Support

• Manage projects of varying scope utilizing Lean principles
• Analyze technical documents and production processes for continuous improvement
• Support waste elimination, workflow optimization, and process enhancements

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Communicate effectively with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Sales to resolve issues
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must-Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent experience
• Proven experience leading teams as a supervisor or manager
• Ability to obtain on-the-job certifications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Ability to pass DOT drug screening

Preferred

• Lean manufacturing experience
• Manufacturing environment experience
