Concrete Laborer

Salary: $17/hour

Express Employment is hiring concrete laborers for a company in Hattiesburg, MS.! 

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up forms and molds for concrete casting
• Help install and position steel strands, cables, or rebar used in prestressing
• Support the tensioning process under supervision (stretching steel tendons before or after concrete placement)
• Pour, spread, and finish concrete in molds
• Operate basic hand and power tools (grinders, saws, vibrators, etc.)
• Clean and maintain forms, equipment, and work areas
• Assist with detensioning and stripping finished concrete products from molds
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE (hard hats, gloves, boots, etc.)
• Load/unload materials and finished products
• Perform general labor tasks as assigned by supervisors

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred but not always required)
• Experience in construction, concrete work, or manufacturing is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy physical labor (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
• Basic understanding of tools and construction equipment
• Willingness to learn prestressing techniques
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Strong attention to safety and detail
