QC Inspector – Industrial Manufacturing (Hands-On, Fast-Paced Environment)

This is NOT a desk job.

If you’re looking for something easy, keep scrolling.

If you take pride in precision, can handle a fast-paced industrial environment, and want to be part of a team that delivers high-quality work every single day — keep reading.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a QC Inspector at DuraTech, you are the final checkpoint before product hits the customer. You are responsible for making sure every barrel meets strict quality and API specifications — no shortcuts.

Your day will include:

  • Inspecting plated barrels for surface finish, defects, and dimensional accuracy
  • Using precision tools like air gauges, thread gauges, and fiber-optic inspection lights
  • Measuring and documenting data with accuracy (no guessing here)
  • Identifying defects and clearly documenting issues for production
  • Communicating directly with supervisors and engineering on quality concerns
  • Maintaining and calibrating inspection equipment
  • Keeping your inspection area clean, organized, and ready to go

The Reality of the Job (Read This Carefully)

We believe in being upfront so there are no surprises:

  • ?? Hot environment – this is a production floor, not climate-controlled
  • ?? Heavy lifting required – up to 150 lbs (team lift) regularly
  • ?? On your feet all day – walking, standing, moving constantly
  • Long hours – overtime is part of the job (including short notice)
  • ?? Repetitive physical work – lifting, pushing, pulling, bending

If that doesn’t sound like you, this won’t be a good fit — and that’s okay.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong attention to detail (you catch what others miss)
  • Ability to learn quickly and grow into more responsibility
  • Comfortable working around industrial chemicals (acids/caustics) with proper PPE
  • Solid work ethic and reliability — your team depends on you showing up
  • Ability to read, write, and document clearly
  • Team player who communicates and takes ownership

Physical Requirements

  • Lift and carry 40–150 lbs (team lift) repeatedly
  • Frequent stooping, crouching, climbing
  • Continuous standing/walking throughout shift
  • Ability to visually inspect for small defects and measurements

Safety Matters Here

You’ll be trained and expected to follow strict safety protocols, including:

  • PPE usage (glasses, boots, gloves, aprons)
  • Chemical awareness and response
  • Equipment handling and emergency procedures

What Success Looks Like

  • Accurate inspections — no defects slipping through
  • Clean, consistent data tracking
  • Strong communication with production
  • Taking ownership of quality, not just “checking boxes”
