Express Employment Professionals are seeking a reliable, hardworking Fence Installer to join our team. Under the direct supervision of a foreman or supervisor, you will assist with installing residential and commercial fencing projects. This role requires physical labor, basic construction skills, and the ability to follow instructions, drawings, and specifications. Welding skills are preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow instructions, drawings, and specifications to measure, mark, and establish fence layouts using tape measures, string lines, and marking paint
• Prepare job sites by clearing and leveling fence areas
• Dig post holes to specified depths and dimensions
• Set metal, vinyl, or wood posts in post holes and ensure proper alignment and leveling
• Mix and pour concrete or tamp soil to secure posts
• Cut wood, vinyl, metal tubing, or tension wire for rails and supports
• Install support rails or tension wire and secure them to posts
• Assemble and install top rails for metal fencing using sleeves and connectors
• Attach fencing materials, including:
  • Wood pickets
  • Vinyl panels
  • Chain link, wire mesh, or wire fencing
• Assemble and install gates
• Safely and effectively use hand tools such as:
  • Shovels, rakes, post-hole diggers
  • Dirt tampers, wheelbarrows
  • Hammers, pliers, adjustable wrenches, levels
• Operate power tools and equipment, including:
  • Pneumatic nail guns
  • Battery-powered drills
  • Chop saws and table saws
  • Mini skid steer with powered augers (as applicable)

Qualifications

• Construction or fencing experience preferred
• Welding experience is a plus
• Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor conditions
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
• Dependable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented
