Job Title: Diesel Mechanic (A & B Techs) – Up to $5,000 Sign-On Bonus
Location: Stamford, CT or Norwalk, CT
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Pay: $32.00 – $45.00 per hour

Our client, a leading provider in their industry, is seeking experienced A- and B-Level Diesel Technicians to join their team in Stamford or Norwalk, CT. Key Responsibilities:

• Comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, brakes, and air brake systems
• Routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, alignments, and shocks & struts replacement
• Troubleshooting electrical systems, HVAC units, and complex mechanical components using schematics and manuals
• Fabricating parts or modifications using hand tools, power tools, welding, and soldering
• Operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers for inspection and repair
• Maintaining detailed service records and documentation
• Assisting in assembly and disassembly of heavy equipment components
• Identifying preventative maintenance opportunities to reduce downtime

A-Level Diesel Technicians Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 4+ years of related equipment maintenance and repair experience

B-Level Diesel Technicians Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 2+ years of related equipment maintenance and repair experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong mechanical aptitude with diesel vehicles

Preferred Skills:

• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, suspension systems, and HVAC units
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
• Experience with fabrication, welding, and soldering
• Familiarity with industrial machinery operation
• Experience with Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery brands preferred
