Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Mechanic to support a leading manufacturing client located in Buffalo, NY. This role is ideal for a highly skilled mechanic with strong machining, troubleshooting, and equipment repair experience who enjoys mentoring others and improving manufacturing processes.

 

Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday

 

Payrate: $27.25 - $36.75/hr BOE

 

Job Summary

The Senior Maintenance Mechanic provides advanced mechanical support to manufacturing operations, including preventative maintenance, tooling, machining, equipment repair, and training of mechanics. This position plays a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, production efficiency, and continuous improvement.

 

Job Duties:

• Troubleshoot and repair all manufacturing equipment on both scheduled and as-needed basis.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks including filter changes, inspections, lubrication, and adjustments.
• Complete tight-tolerance machining tasks and operate all machine shop equipment (saws, drills, mills, lathes, grinders, CNC, etc.).
• Train mechanics on advanced maintenance tasks and best practices.
• Operate and repair industrial trucks and related equipment
• Perform complex fabrication repairs and projects, including aluminum and stainless steel welding.
• Diagnose complex equipment issues including registration and timing on printing and finishing processes.
• Troubleshoot basic electrical components such as breakers and fuses.
• Operate fork trucks and other material handling equipment when required.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools to perform maintenance duties.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, OEM prints, and work orders.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify process issues and recommend improvements.
• Communicate effectively with machine operators to ensure efficient troubleshooting and repair.

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience required.
• Certificate in technical or mechanical training course required.
• Advanced machining, pneumatic, and hydraulic knowledge required.
• Electrical knowledge required.
• Strong troubleshooting and equipment repair skills.
• Knowledge of CMMS systems and preventative maintenance programs.
