Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Press Operator for a well-established client in the printing industry located in Buffalo, NY. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, quality, and keeping production running smoothly.

 

Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday

 

Payrate: $25 - $30/hr BOE

 

Job Summary

The Press Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and continual monitoring of various printing presses. This position ensures high-quality output, efficient production flow, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

 

Job Duties:

 

• Set up and independently operate press equipment including Mark Andy, Flexographic, Delta, and Herma presses.
• Manage all processes associated with press operation with a focus on productivity, quality, safety, and housekeeping.
• Perform die cutting, perfing, punching, rewinding, unwinding, slitting, folding, and packaging tasks.
• Review job tickets and verify stock, inks, and dies are available and correct.
• Complete required paperwork, quality checks, and sign-offs.
• Inspect finished products and make adjustments to maintain quality standards
• Troubleshoot and perform basic preventative maintenance; coordinate with maintenance department as needed.
• Interpret production paperwork and prepare finished product for shipment..
• Use measurement tools such as scales, micro scales, calipers, and densitometers.
• Perform all required Oracle tasks including work orders, raw material declarations, production movement, and inventory checks.

Requirements:

• Flexographic printing experience is required.
• 3-5 years of printing experience is required.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings is required.
• Experience with precision measuring devices is required.
• Knowledge of Lithographic, Flexographic, and Web printing processes.
