Express Employment Professionals is hiring an experienced Customs Broker on behalf of our client, a well-established Canadian logistics services company.

This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Customs Broker who is looking for a stable, professional role with a company that has a strong reputation in the industry. You’ll be joining a knowledgeable, team-oriented group of professionals in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, organization, and strong client relationships are key.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in customs brokerage processes across multiple modes of transportation. You’ll play a key role in ensuring shipments are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining compliance with Canadian customs regulations.

What you’ll be doing:

•          Process and complete customs documentation accurately and on time
•          Classify goods according to tariff coding and calculate duty and taxes on shipments
•          Coordinate and manage shipments across Air, Ocean, Truck, Rail, and Courier (LVS)
•          Prepare customer quotations and support clients with customs-related inquiries
•          Maintain strong working relationships with clients, carriers, and vendors
•          Ensure compliance with Canadian customs regulations and trade requirements
•          Handle Temporary Entries, Voluntary Entries, and other customs documentation
•          Manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
•          Maintain accurate records and documentation within internal systems

 

What we’re looking for:

•          CCS, CTCS, or other recognized Customs Broker professional designation is required
•          At least 2 years of experience in customs brokerage
•          Strong knowledge of Canadian customs regulations, trade rules, and tariff classification
•          Experience working with multiple modes of transportation
•          Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
•          Strong attention to detail and accuracy
•          Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
•          Reliable, adaptable, and professional with strong problem-solving skills
•          Strong communication and customer service skills
•         Post-secondary education and/or relevant industry training is considered an asset
