Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Traffic Control Flagger to manage the flow of vehicles and pedestrians around construction and work zones. The ideal candidate will help ensure the safety of workers, motorists, and the public while maintaining efficient traffic movement.

Flaggers play a critical role in work zone safety by directing traffic and setting up control devices such as cones, signs, and barricades.

Key Responsibilities

Direct and control traffic using stop/slow paddles, flags, and hand signals
Set up and remove traffic control devices (cones, signs, barricades)
Communicate with crew members and other flaggers to coordinate traffic flow
Inform drivers of detours, delays, and road conditions
Monitor work zones and report unsafe conditions or incidents
Maintain a safe environment for workers, motorists, and pedestrians
Follow all safety regulations and company procedures

These duties are essential for maintaining safe and efficient traffic flow in construction areas.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Flagger certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to stand for long periods and work outdoors in all weather conditions
Strong attention to safety and detail
Good communication and teamwork skills
Reliable transportation to job sites

Physical Requirements

Stand for extended periods (8–12 hours)
Lift up to 25–50 lbs as needed
Work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)

Preferred Qualifications

Previous construction or traffic control experience
Knowledge of traffic control standards (DOT / ATSSA guidelines)
