CNC Machinist — St. Louis Metro, Missouri (Maryland Heights)

About the Role
This CNC Machinist role is for machinists who have hands-on experience programming, setting up, and running CNC equipment in a production or job shop environment. You’ll work with tight tolerances, read prints daily, and take ownership of your machine from setup through final inspection at a facility in Maryland Heights, Missouri.

What You'll Be Doing

• Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and/or lathes (Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or similar controls)
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and job travelers
• Select tooling, set offsets, and perform first-piece inspections
• Make in-process adjustments to maintain tolerances and surface finish
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring tools

To Be Considered, You Must Meet the Following:

• Hands-on CNC programming, setup, and operation experience — button pushers or machine monitors do NOT qualify
• Experience editing programs at the machine (G-code)
• Proven ability to hold tolerances and troubleshoot machining issues
• Experience working independently on production or short-run jobs
• Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, and material behavior

This Role is NOT for You If:

• You have only loaded parts or pressed cycle start
• You have general manufacturing or assembly experience without CNC setup or programming
• You have never edited programs, set offsets, or selected tooling
