About the Role
This MIG Welder role is for welders who have spent real time under the hood running production welds—not occasional or practice welding. You’ll be welding carbon steel components in a manufacturing or fabrication environment in Maryland Heights, working from prints and maintaining consistent weld quality that holds up to inspection and testing.

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform production MIG (GMAW) welding on steel parts, frames, and assemblies
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and job specs
• Set up welding equipment, adjust voltage and wire feed, and select proper consumables
• Identify and correct common weld defects such as porosity, undercut, lack of fusion, and spatter
• Maintain consistent weld appearance and structural integrity to meet quality standards

To Be Considered, You Must Meet the Following:

• Substantial MIG welding experience beyond occasional or trial use — this is not an entry-level welding role
• Ability to pass a weld test, including visual inspection and/or X-ray testing
• Hands-on experience welding carbon steel in a production or fabrication setting
• Strong understanding of weld defects and how to prevent or correct them
• Experience welding from prints, not just tacking or assisting

This Role is NOT for You If:

• You have only done general manufacturing, assembly, or machine operation
• You have welded occasionally but have not run MIG welding as your primary job
• You cannot pass a hands-on weld test
