About the Role
This TIG Welder position in Maryland Heights is for a welder who truly understands GTAW—not someone who’s only touched it occasionally. You’ll be welding precision parts to print, working with tight tolerances, clean joints, and cosmetic-quality welds in a fabrication or manufacturing environment. This role is built for a welder who takes pride in bead control, penetration, and finish.

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform TIG (GTAW) welding on steel, stainless steel, and/or aluminum components
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and job travelers
• Set up TIG machines, select filler material, tungsten, and shielding gas
• Produce clean, consistent welds with proper penetration and minimal rework
• Inspect finished welds for defects such as porosity, undercut, lack of fusion, and contamination

To Be Considered, You Must Meet the Following:

• Must have substantial TIG welding experience beyond occasional or trial use and must be able to pass a hands-on TIG weld test or X-ray test
• Proven experience welding thin-gauge and/or precision parts using GTAW
• Strong understanding of heat control, puddle management, and filler rod technique
• Ability to read blueprints and follow weld symbols accurately
• Experience maintaining cosmetic-quality welds where appearance matters

This Role is NOT for You If:

• You have only TIG welded in a class, training, or hobby setting
• Your background is primarily MIG welding with little real TIG time
• You cannot pass a hands-on TIG weld test
