Landscapers

Located in Arcata, CA

Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 + DOE

We are currently hiring dependable and hardworking Landscaping Laborers to support a variety of residential and commercial landscaping projects throughout Humboldt County. If you enjoy working outdoors and take pride in maintaining clean, well-kept properties, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do:

• Operate landscaping equipment including riding mowers, weed eaters, weed whackers, blowers, and clippers
• Perform lawn care, maintenance, and general property clean-up
• Trim hedges, edge lawns, and maintain landscaping features
• Assist with junk removal and debris hauling
• Spread bark, wood chips, gravel, and other materials on properties
• Work on both residential and commercial landscaping projects
• Perform physical tasks including squatting, bending, lifting, and carrying materials throughout the day
• Travel to various job sites throughout Humboldt County

Requirements:

• Experience operating landscaping equipment (riding mower, weed eater, weed whacker, blower, clippers) required
• Ability to stand and be on your feet for 8+ hours per day
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs consistently throughout the workday
• Ability to squat, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions (rain, sun, wind, etc.)
• Reliable transportation to job sites
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Preferred (but not required):

• Previous landscaping or outdoor labor experience
• Familiarity with residential and commercial property maintenance
• Basic understanding of landscaping tools and safety practices

Work Environment:
This is a physically demanding, outdoor position requiring stamina, flexibility, and a positive attitude. Duties and job locations may vary daily.

Pay Transparency (California Compliance):
Starting pay is $18.00/hour or higher depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
