Sheet Metal Assembler/Riveter Technician

Job Summary:
The Sheet Metal Assembler/Riveter is responsible for assembling, fitting, and riveting sheet metal components to fabricate enclosures, or other metal products. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

Pay:  $16/hour

Hours:  1st Shift

Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble sheet metal parts using hand tools, rivet gun or clinching machine and/or power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings.
• Drill, deburr, countersink, and rivet components according to specifications.
• Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, alignment, and quality standards.
• Operate pneumatic and hydraulic riveting tools safely and efficiently.

• Maintain clean and organized workstations and follow safety protocols.
• Wipe down and prep parts for powder coat.
• Document production activities and report any discrepancies or defects

Required Skills & Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED; technical training or certification in sheet metal work is a plus.
• 1–3 years of experience in sheet metal assembly, fabricating or aerospace manufacturing preferred.
• Proficient in using hand tools, rivet guns, drills, and measuring instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Familiarity with safety standards and quality control procedures.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Standing, bending, and working in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
