Express Employment Professionals is recruiting a compassionate, professional, and highly skilled Funeral Director to join the team of our respected client This role is essential in supporting families during some of their most difficult moments, ensuring that every service is handled with dignity, respect, and exceptional care. The ideal candidate is empathetic, detail‑oriented, and committed to upholding the highest standards of funeral service.
Location: Laramie, WY
Salary: $45,000–$60,000 annually (based on experience and licensure)
Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree + Completion of Accredited Mortuary Science Program
Licensure: Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Funeral Director license
Work Schedule: 4 Person on Call Rotation
Meet with families to plan funeral, memorial, and burial services
Provide compassionate guidance and clear communication throughout the arrangement process
Present service options, merchandise, and pricing in a professional and sensitive manner
Coordinate all service details, including scheduling, clergy communication, and venue preparation
Direct funeral and memorial services, ensuring smooth and respectful execution
Oversee visitations, viewings, and ceremonies
Prepare and manage all necessary documentation, including permits, certificates, and authorizations
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Oversee or assist with embalming, dressing, casketing
Maintain preparation room standards, equipment, and sanitation
Ensure proper handling, transportation, and care of decedents
Maintain accurate case files, service records, and documentation
Coordinate with cemeteries, crematories, florists, and other service providers
Assist with inventory management for funeral merchandise and supplies
Support general funeral home operations as needed
Bachelor’s degree required
Completion of an accredited Mortuary Science program
Current Funeral Director license or eligibility to obtain licensure
Prior experience in funeral service or mortuary operations preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to remain composed, empathetic, and professional in emotionally sensitive situations
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
Knowledge of state and federal funeral service regulations
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
