Job Title: Inspection Supervisor

Summary:
The Inspection Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of employees involved in the inspection, finishing, and packing of plastic molded parts. This role ensures product quality standards are met while maintaining efficient workflow and compliance with company and safety regulations. The position reports directly to the Quality Manager.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, schedule, and assign daily work for inspection and finishing department personnel based on production and delivery schedules

  • Monitor and inspect work to ensure products meet established quality standards and AQL requirements

  • Identify and prevent potential quality issues; escalate concerns to management and take corrective action when necessary

  • Coordinate material flow within departments and communicate with production, shipping/receiving, and other teams

  • Train, instruct, and support employees on company procedures, machine operations, and quality standards

  • Enforce company policies, safety regulations, and maintain a clean, organized work environment

  • Address employee concerns and recommend disciplinary actions when appropriate

  • Maintain inspection tools, gauges, and equipment; coordinate repairs or replacements as needed

  • Track and maintain records related to quality, productivity, and production reports

  • Review documentation such as startup sheets, scrap reports, and inspection logs

  • Authorize overtime as needed and support operational demands

  • Recommend process improvements, new tools, or equipment to enhance quality and efficiency

  • Stay current with industry practices through training, seminars, and professional development


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional training in quality control or supervision preferred)

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inspection/finishing of plastic molded parts

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to lift and move moderate weight regularly

  • Knowledge of quality standards and inspection processes

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
