Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk


Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to manage incoming and outgoing shipments. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory handling, timely processing of deliveries, and maintaining organized shipping and receiving records. The ideal candidate is efficient, organized, and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety.


Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices
  • Prepare and process outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipments and inventory transactions
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (if certified)
  • Coordinate with carriers and delivery services to schedule pickups and deliveries
  • Organize and maintain storage areas to ensure efficiency and safety
  • Report damaged or missing items to supervisors promptly
  • Assist with inventory counts and audits
  • Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., inventory systems, data entry, Microsoft Office)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items
  • English and Spanish required for the role
