Lumper - 4 10's Day

Sorts mixed recyclable materials by type and from waste materials in compliance with laws, regulations and policies.

Schedule: Tues-Sat (No Thursday) 8:30am to 7:00pm

Location: Oregon City

Key Responsibilities: 

• Identifies and distinguishes recyclables (paper, glass, etc.) from non-recyclables (garbage, etc.).
• Includes sorting through materials on a conveyor to view and recognize type, and opening bags to inspect contents.
• Empties and/or changes sorted materials containers as needed.
• Per company policies and training, looks out for, reports on, and takes appropriate action regarding any hazardous materials in the waste stream.
• Helping customers offload their cars/rucks or trailers, help clean around the pit area, sort through materials, man the bay door and check in drivers, fill out C&D form when needed, use scanner to scan driver ticket, and take down the blue # on truck, fill out commercial load log.

 Skills Required: 

• Mechanically inclined, able to work with or around heavy equipment, and safety oriented.

Physical Requirements: 

• Sit, stand, walk, use stairways to climb to multiple floors within office building and lift up to 50 LBS.
• Associates will be on their feet all day long.

Experience Required: 

• Recycling experience preferred, Production, and attention to detail.
• Client CROSS TRAINS! Associates will be doing a mix off all Recycle assistant, lumper and spotter positions.
